Pay Zakat-ul-Fitr

Zakat-ul-fitr is obligatory on every adult Muslim who possesses food in excess of their needs, to be paid towards the end of Ramadan and before the Eid-ul-fitr prayer on every free or slave, male or female, old or young including dependents and pregnancy as a means of purifying any deficiencies in the fast and as food for the less-privileged ones on the day of Eid.
